After 12 years of being together, I had my dream wedding, to my dream man, Michael Hilderbrand , a month ago on a beach in Mexico. We are relatively simple by nature... (I mean a night in, watching Dateline, eating pizza in bed by 7 PM on Saturday is our ideal "date night")...so to us, we wanted our wedding to be simple, intimate, and special. Everything about our day perfect, just how a wedding should be- we ended up surrounded by 16 of the most amazing people we know and love, spending much need time together. laughing, and making beautiful memories. We both were left feeling so THANKFUL to have had friends and family to share in our celebration and special trip. And we came out of the experience with a renewed sense of what is most important in life, and that is truly treasuring the opportunities, big and small, to spend quality time with those you love. The time we spent together and these experiences are not ones that can ever be taken away from us, and are ones we will cherish for the rest of our lives together. We have decided to focus on investing in experiences over "things" and make it a priority to encourage our friends and family to partake with us....
